(주)가치소프트, 자체 개발 3D구조광 기반 DTS 혁신 기술로 쿠카와 글로벌 시장 협력 추진

(주)가치소프트(이하,가치소프트)는 자동 로봇 티칭 분야에서 혁신을 이루기 위해 3D 구조광 스캐닝을 기반으로 한 DTS(Digital Teaching System) 솔루션을 개발했다고 발표했다. 이 기술은 로봇 티칭 과정을 단축시켜 산업 자동화 분야에서 새로운 지평을 열 것으로 기대된다.

가치소프트가 개발한 DTS 프로그램은, 로봇 현장 설치 이후 시운전에 앞서, 최첨단 3D 구조광 스캐닝 기술을 이용해 부품, 지그 등을 정밀하게 3차원으로 모델링한다. DTS는 이를 통해 생성된 가상 공간에서 로봇을 사전에 티칭하는 데 사용되어, 설비의 현장 설치 후 운영 효율성을 대폭 향상시키고 로봇 티칭 시간을 혁신적으로 단축시키는 역할을 한다.

예를 들면, 이 프로그램은 신차 패널이 현장에 도착한 후 생산라인을 셋업할 때 기존의 수동 티칭 방법과 비교해서 로봇 조작자가 수행하던 번거로운 작업을 크게 줄일 수 있다.

기존에는 로봇 한 대당 티칭에 필요한 시간이 대략 3~4시간 소요되었으나, 가치소프트의 DTS 솔루션을 이용하면 이 과정을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있다. 가치소프트가 해결하고자 하는 실제적 목표는, 대상물에 표시된 보정 마크(보정 패턴)나 대상물의 특징 인식을 통해 로봇 티칭 시간을 최소화하거나 자동화하는 것이다.

가치소프트의 'DTS 소프트웨어'를 이용하면 복잡한 모션 제어가 필요한 로봇의 고난도 작업을 별도의 프로그래밍 없이 비전문가도 쉽게 티칭할 수 있기 때문에 로봇 엔지니어가 몇 시간, 몇 일 걸리던 일을 일반 작업자가 몇 시간, 몇 분으로 대폭 단축시킬 수 있게 된다.

최근 가치소프트는 글로벌 로봇 기업 쿠카(KUKA)와의 협력 하에 이 기술을 연마 공정에 적용하고 테스트를 진행했다. 이 테스트에서 사용자가 티칭 기기를 사용해 기준점을 정하고 로봇이 작업하고자 하는 위치를 선택, 지정해 주면, 로봇이 자동으로 연마할 면을 찾아 작업을 수행할 수 있음을 확인했다고 밝혔다.  

가치소프트의 혁신적인 DTS(Digital Teaching System) 솔루션의 사업화 추진에 발맞춰, 지난 3월 7일에는 쿠카(KUKA)의 APeC(Asia-Pacific excluding China) 지역 세일즈 디렉터인 Neoh Shin Joo 부사장이 (주)가치소프트를 방문하여 미래 협력을 위한 기술 협의를 한 것으로 알려졌다.

이 방문에서 Neoh 부사장은 (주)가치소프트의 첨단 기술에 깊은 인상을 받았으며, 양사 간의 기술 협력과 향후 공동 사업화의 가능성을 논의했다고 한다. Neoh 부사장은 "가치소프트의 DTS는 로봇 자동화 및 디지털 티칭 분야에 혁신적인 변화를 가져올 수 있는 기술"이라며 "쿠카(KUKA)는 이러한 혁신을 아시아 태평양 지역의 고객들에게 제공함으로써 산업 자동화를 한 단계 더 발전시킬 수 있도록 가치소프트와 협력하고자 한다"고 말했다.

Gachisoft Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Gachisoft) announced that it has developed a Digital Teaching System (DTS) solution based on 3D structured light scanning to achieve innovation in the field of automatic robot teaching. This technology is expected to open a new horizon in the field of industrial automation by shortening the robot teaching process.

The DTS program developed by Gachisoft uses cutting-edge 3D structured light scanning technology to precisely model parts and jigs in three dimensions after the robot is installed on site and prior to commissioning. DTS is used to teach robots in advance in the virtual space created through this, greatly improving operational efficiency after on-site installation of equipment and dramatically shortening robot teaching time.

For example, this program can significantly reduce the cumbersome tasks performed by robot operators when setting up the production line after new car panels arrive on site, compared to traditional manual teaching methods.

Previously, the time required for teaching each robot was approximately 3 to 4 hours, but this process can be dramatically reduced by using Gachisoft's DTS solution. The practical goal that GachiSoft aims to solve is to minimize or automate robot teaching time through recognition of the correction marks (correction patterns) displayed on the object or the characteristics of the object.

Using Gachisoft's 'DTS software', even non-experts can easily teach the difficult tasks of robots that require complex motion control without separate programming, so tasks that used to take hours and days for robot engineers can now be done by ordinary workers in hours and days. This can be drastically shortened to minutes.

Recently, Gachisoft applied this technology to the polishing process and conducted tests in cooperation with global robot company KUKA. In this test, it was confirmed that if the user uses a teaching device to set a reference point and select and designate the location where the robot wants to work, the robot can automatically find the surface to be polished and perform the work.

In line with the commercialization of GachiSoft's innovative DTS (Digital Teaching System) solution, on March 7, Neoh Shin Joo, Vice President of KUKA's APeC (Asia-Pacific excluding China) regional sales director, spoke at Gachi Co., Ltd. It is reported that he visited Soft and discussed technology for future cooperation.

During this visit, Vice President Neoh was impressed by the cutting-edge technology of Gachisoft Co., Ltd., and discussed technological cooperation between the two companies and the possibility of joint commercialization in the future. Vice President Neoh said, “GachiSoft’s DTS is a technology that can bring revolutionary changes to the fields of robotic automation and digital teaching. KUKA will take industrial automation to the next level by providing these innovations to customers in the Asia Pacific region. “We want to cooperate with GachiSoft to make this possible,” he said.
