- 미국 캔자스시티 연방은행 주최로 해마다 와이오밍주에서 열리는 잭슨홀 미팅(경제정책 심포지엄)이 올해는 현지시간으로 8월26일부터 28일까지 개최될 예정.

 

 

- 올해 잭슨홀 미팅은 '불균등한 경제에서 거시 경제 정책(Macroeconomic Policy in an Uneven Economy)'을 주제로 개최될 예정이며, 특히, 이번 미팅에서 연준이 대규모 채권 매입 축소(테이퍼링) 계획을 구체화할지 여부에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있음.

 

 

- 제롬 파월 미국 연방준비제도(연준·Fed) 의장은 잭슨홀 심포지엄에서 '경제 전망(economic outlook)'을 주제로 연설할 예정임.

 

- 한편, 이번 회의는 2년 만에 대면 회의로 진행될 예정이었으나, 코로나19의 델타 변이 확산 탓에 재차 온라인 화상회의로 축소, 진행할 것으로 알려졌음.
